Key Points
District 10:
Due to Gerrymandering by the current Ohio State representation, this district has be reshaped to include German Village, in addition to Grove City, and the Columbus Hilltop area. In the 2024 elections, you will be voting for the person that will represent this new district as the lines go into effect starting 1/1/2025.
The Current Representation:
Our current representatives have shown they are not representing the will of the people.
In the last year, they have attempted to subvert the will of the voters by altering language and implementation of multiple citizen-led ballot initiatives.
Partisan Politics:
Real issues are falling to the wayside behind sensationalized “social” issues that target and disenfranchise a very small percentage of our citizens for express purpose of pandering and party politics.
Our legislature is not focused on doing what’s best for Ohio and our District.
A Vote for Mark Protects Our Values
I believe in the fair representation of all people. I am a Grove City native and currently sit on Grove City Council. Most importantly, I care deeply about the people living in our newly-reshaped District 10 and aim to represent you and your interests. I believe we can all agree that currently no one is accurately representing the will of the voters in our district. I intend to change that, even in the face of these attempts to disenfranchise our district’s voters with manipulative gerrymandering.
We are a dynamic and diverse community, and together we have a chance to show those currently in power that we will not have our voices diminished. We have chosen to protect the rights of women to choose for themselves what is right for them and their families. We have chosen to protect our voice and ability to lead our own initiatives, and we have chosen to decriminalize the recreational use and sale of cannabis. We cannot let these victories be taken from us.
There is a lot of work to be done in the statehouse, and I know that I am the person to do it! Our district needs a candidate that sees and understands the needs of our community to bring the positive changes to the statehouse. I am the only candidate that has proven they can reach a majority of voters in this district. A vote for Mark Sigrist in the March 19th primary gives us a real shot to bring fair representation back to District 10 in November.
I will support our seniors, public schools, organized labor, access to affordable healthcare, freedom of choice in healthcare, our LGBTQIA+ community, and housing initiatives that allow people to live where they work affordably.
I am excited for the opportunity to return our community’s voices to our statehouse. I want to bring back hope and level the playing field for current and future generations.
Thank you for your consideration,
Mark Sigrist
